Local Financial Services Organisation located in the CBD are looking for an experienced permanent Senior Financial Analyst with good technical knowledge and a strong work ethic, to work closely with the CFO in solving problems and driving improvement
  
You will also have the confidence & experience to cover for the Financial Controller or the FP&A leader as a logical career path would be into one of these.

You will have 5+ years' local experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a large corporate or Big 4 accounting firm.
  

Responsibilities:

• Drive strategic financial decision-making through expert analysis and insights
• Lead technical accounting interpretations and maintain best-practice standards
• Support the development and modelling of a 5-year operating outlook
• Partner with the Executive Team to deliver critical financial and business intelligence
• Manage treasury operations and complex financial reporting requirements including cash flow management and hedge accounting documentation
• Champion process improvements and strengthen our control environment
• Provide strategic advice on financial risk management and mitigation strategies through proactive analysis and reporting
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects, enhance reporting frameworks and deliver financial solutions to the organisation

 
Ideal Background:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a large corporate or Big 4 accounting firm
• Active membership with a recognised professional accounting body (CA ANZ, CPA Australia or equivalent)
• Comprehensive knowledge of current Australian accounting standards
• Proven track record in financial analysis and strategic problem-solving
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders.
• An unwavering ability to deliver accurate and high-quality financial analysis to support business decisions within challenging timelines
