Junior Systems Administrator
This role is ideal for a recent graduate, current student or early-career IT professional, you'll gain practical experience across a broad technology environment while working alongside experienced systems professionals.
About the Role
Reporting to the Information Systems Manager, you'll provide day-to-day IT support across the organisation and help ensure employees have the systems, devices and access they need to work effectively.
Rather than simply sitting in a ticket queue, you'll gain exposure across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, devices, systems administration, troubleshooting, AI and automation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing first-line IT support across the business, troubleshooting issues and escalating where required
- Administering Microsoft 365, including users, groups, mailboxes, MFA, Intune and mobile devices
- Monitoring and managing endpoints through NinjaOne, including patching, alerts and remote support
- Setting up and decommissioning laptops, phones and other IT equipment
- Maintaining accurate IT asset records
- Managing IT requirements for employee onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, devices, licences and system access
- Developing practical user guides and knowledge articles for common IT queries
- Supporting continuous improvement across systems, processes, AI and automation
About You This role would suit someone looking for their first or second professional IT opportunity who is technically curious, enjoys solving problems and is keen to continue learning.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Relevant tertiary study in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline, or Microsoft certification such as MS-900, AZ-104, SC-900 or similar
- Hands-on familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- A willingness to learn new systems and technologies
- An interest in AI, automation and improving the way technology is used
- Exposure to any of the following would be advantageous, but isn't essential: SharePoint, Defender, Power BI, PowerShell, Jira, NinjaOne & iOS/Android device support
