About the Role
 
As the Payroll Coordinator you will be the key link between the organisation and the outsourced payroll provider. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely with a supportive team, while taking ownership of payroll coordination in a complex, multi-award environment. You will be the first point of contact for payroll queries, be responsible for coordinating payroll processes, and maintaining accurate workforce records utilising Employment Hero.
 
This role can be performed 100% remotely anywhere in NSW (preferred), or from the Armidale office if you're local. It is a part-time position, working 2.5 day per week.
 
What You'll Be Doing

• Coordinate payroll processing with an outsourced payroll provider
• Be the first point of contact for employee payroll enquiries
• Validate timesheets, leave, allowances and payroll variations
• Maintain payroll records, contracts and pay changes
• Ensure Employment Hero HR and Payroll data remains accurate and aligned
• Monitor leave balances and payroll discrepancies
• Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations
• Support payroll-related onboarding and offboarding activities

About You
 
You will be someone who can confidently take ownership of  coordinating the payroll function from day one, and be comfortable working in a complex, multi-award payroll environment. 
 
You will have:

• Previous experience in a payroll coordination or payroll administration role
• Strong numerical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel capability
• Experience working with multiple Modern Awards (SCHADS experience highly regarded)
• The confidence to identify issues and seek clarification rather than making assumptions
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy
• Experience liaising with outsourced payroll providers
• Experience using Employment Hero (highly desirable)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to work independently while managing competing deadlines
