About the role
As our Draftsperson, you will be responsible for producing high-quality drawings across all stages of residential projects, using rendering software. You will work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, compliant, and aligned with Regent Homes' standards.
 
Main responsibilities

• Produce 3D drawings for all stages; concept, planning, working and final construction drawings Render the entire dwelling internally & externally in 3D rendering software
• Review and approve timber framing layouts and structural steel documentation
• Work closely with estimating, selections, and construction teams to ensure drawing accuracy and build efficiency
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and construction standards
• Liaise with local councils when required to support design due diligence
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager and site supervisors to refine construction methodologies and standard details
• Participate in client design meetings alongside the sales team when required
• Maintain strong communication with suppliers, contractors, and internal team
• Ensure all work aligns with Regent Homes' quality, safety, and customer service standards

What you will bring

• A minimum Diploma qualification in Building Design
• At least 3 years' experience in a Drafting role in the housing and construction industry
• Experience with Archicad (preferred)
• Experience with 3D rendering software (Enscape preferred)
• Sound knowledge of the National Construction and Australian standards & codes
• Strong understanding of building design concepts and procedures
• Solid understanding of building specifications, materials, and construction practices
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with proven time management and organisational skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of people
• Ability to show initiative
• Collaborative working approach
