As our Senior Drafter you'll play a key role in shaping our projects from concept to construction, and help bring residential and light commercial projects to life with detailed, constructible, and code-compliant steel fabrication drawings.
 
Main activities include the below:

• Create accurate and detailed shop and fabrication drawings using Tekla and AutoCAD
• Translate architectural and engineering plans into build-ready documentation
• Collaborate closely with our fabrication, site, and project teams to ensure constructability
• Review drawings to ensure compliance with building codes and Australian Standards
• Manage workflows across multiple projects and meet key deadlines
• Work directly with engineers, builders, and stakeholders to clarify design requirements
• Mentor junior drafters and contribute to continuous drafting improvements

What you will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in structural steel drafting for residential builds
• Certificate or Diploma in Drafting, Engineering Design, or similar
• Experienced with Tekla & AutoCAD 
• Deep knowledge of Australian Standards for structural steel
• Clear and confident communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work well with internal & external stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a practical, solution-focused approach
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality and accuracy
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise across multiple projects
• Initiative to take ownership of tasks and proactively identify improvements
