About the Role
The Head of People and Corporate Services (HPCS) is a newly created role as a key part of a small executive leadership team, primarily responsible for driving the organisation’s people and culture excellence.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the role has overall responsibility for leading and overseeing the people and corporate enabling functions which include human resources and people operations, information and communication technology, procurement and contracts, governance and WHS and business support services.
Through a values-driven lens, the HPCS provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure people and corporate services are high quality, customer-focused, financially sustainable, and compliant with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.
The position is accountable for ensuring fit‑for‑purpose frameworks, policies and systems are established and maintained to support compliance, organisational assurance, operational efficiency and a positive, values‑aligned culture. The role works closely with the CEO and the organisation’s finance function to support effective governance, risk management and value for money, while direct responsibility for financial management sits outside the scope of this position.
Key elements of the role include:
- The development, implementation and oversight of workforce strategy, people governance and organisational culture, including recruitment, performance management, capability development, employee relations and workforce planning.
- Organisational compliance including employment legislation, industrial instruments and work health and safety obligations.
- Leadership and oversight of corporate service functions including business support, procurement, ICT, contracts, ensuring services are reliable, compliant and deliver value for money.

You bring Qualifications: - Qualifications in Business, Management, Human Resources, Law, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Essential Criteria: - Significant senior management experience, preferably within the not for profit, aged care, community or health sectors.
- Demonstrated experience leading people, human resources and corporate services functions within a complex organisation.
- In depth knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, awards and contemporary people and culture practice.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management, compliance and policy development.
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations matters and provide strategic advice to senior leaders and Boards.
- Experience leading organisational change, culture and capability development initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, oversee and improve business systems, digital platforms and corporate processes.
- Highly developed leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making capability.
- Current National Police Clearance.
Desirable Criteria: - Experience working in culturally and linguistically diverse or community based environments.
- Understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion principles within aged care and community services.
