About the Role
The Executive Manager Corporate Services (EMCS) is a contract position until 31 July 2026 and is a key executive leader, primarily responsible for driving the organisation’s corporate functions.
This position acts as a key support to and works under the broad direction of the Chief Executive Officer.
This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of the organisation. It acts as a key support to the CEO and Board, providing financial and operational information to inform robust decision making.
This position ensures all aspects of corporate, business and operational management are delivered to a high standard, this includes (but is not limited to):
- the sound financial management of the organisation and its resources,
- the management of human resources,
- oversight of work health and safety,
- managing systems and information management processes,
- monitoring operational performance against strategic and contractual KPIs.
This position also has responsibility for supervising and supporting the finance and organisational support team.
Key elements of the role include:
Strategy and Governance - Support the CEO and Executive to achieve strategic priorities, objectives and operational plans.
- Contribute to strategic and operational planning.
- Lead relevant internal quality assurance activities.
- In partnership with the Executive take responsibility for the regular review of operational plans against budget.
Financial Leadership and Management - Oversee and monitor the effective management of all internal and external finance processes, including cash flow management, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and contract management.
- Provide regular detailed financial analysis and advice to the CEO and Board
- Provide interpretation and technical support to payroll, termination and other pay matters
- Provide financial input, viability impact and support for proposals for new services, contract and tender applications
- Ensure all statutory, contractual and financial and acquittal obligations are met
- Manage statutory audit process and prepare Annual Financial Statements
- Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with senior leaders and the Executive Team
- Oversee asset management.
IT and Data Management - Effectively manage information management processes and systems
- Provide strategic advice relating to IT systems [LB1]
- Collate and analyse data to support reporting and business decision making.
- Manage the external IT service provider.
Human Resource Management - Monitor adherence to all relevant legislation, regulations and awards pertaining to employment and conditions of employment, and maintain a current and contemporary knowledge of EBAs and Awards
- Oversee organisational recruitment, selection and induction processes
- Oversee the implementation and management of human resource processes, policies and procedures
- Manage the external HR and IR support provider.
Work Health and Safety Management - Monitor adherence and compliance with work health and safety legislation and best practice
Executive Management - Deputise for the CEO if and when required and assist the CEO in all functions related to the works of that position.
- Attend Finance and Performance Committee meetings and report to the Board as necessary.

You bring Essential Criteria: - Minimum of 3 years senior leadership, operational and financial management experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance discipline (CA/CPA preferred)
- High level of commercial and financial acumen
- Experience in managing funding and contracts
- Experience across the corporate services functions
- Experience with tendering and grant-making, acquittal and reporting processes
- Demonstrated high level IT and software skills (ideally including experience with Xero)
