About the Role
A new CEO is bringing a growth mindset to this well established and financially strong health and community services business. The broad growth remit is in turn driving a requirement for a high level of strategic financial advice and modelling input and is the basis for the creation of this new role for the business.
 
The organisation is moving quickly on to a more dynamic plane with a range of evolving strategies that will deliver significant business and community impact over the coming 12-36 months. Key to this strategy is the right person in this new CFO role to strongly partner with the CEO and work closely with the executive team and Board.
 
Along with the high-level strategic support, the CFO will be responsible for leading the finance team ensuring strong financial practices are embedded into the organisation and drive accountability and responsibility for legislative compliance.  Additionally, the CFO holds strong financial governance practices and provides timely and quality financial information and reports across the organisation and to the CEO and board. 
 
Key functions include:

• Executive oversight of whole of the finance team and their operations, including payroll, accounts receivable and payable, reporting and audit functions.
• Manages Amity Health’s investment portfolio
• Budget process
• Property and Assets
• Privacy, Risk and Compliance.

Our client Amity Health is a not-for-profit organisation offering a variety of funded and fee for service programs and services in the Great Southern, Wheatbelt, South-East Coastal Goldfields, Midwest and Southwest regions of Western Australia. About You
The organisation is looking for a current finance leader with the experience and high-level thinking to drive the financial support for the CEO and Board’s ambitious direction.
 
As a person, you will hold deep values and integrity and be able to engender trust, empathy and accountability to go along with your business and technical financial acumen.
Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or Business. Accounting qualification such as CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) preferred.
• Membership with relevant professional bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) or CPA Australia.
• Extensive, financial leadership experience and strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
• Strong strategic financial acumen with the ability to align financial strategies with overall strategic goals.
• Experience in providing financial reporting to support decision-making at the executive and board levels.
• Understanding of financial risk management principles. Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organisation.
