About the Role
In this role, you will lead a purposeful and passionate organization delivering much needed services to Alice Spring’s youth. The CEO will work to ensure the continued delivery of the organisation’s existing programs as well as looking to opportunities for program development. This is an operational CEO role with a strong focus on people development, financial management and business growth. Equally important is stakeholder engagement and building relationships with the funders, community members and the Board. The CEO will work with the Board on developing and operationalising the organisation’s new strategic plan including advancing an existing significantly sized development project.
 
About Us
Our client has a long history of impactful service delivery and is working diligently to address some of the big challenges facing young people in Alice Springs. On the back of some well-established and successful programs, funding has been secured for a transformational development project that has been commenced but needs an appropriately skilled CEO to drive it to its conclusion. The Board of this organisation is passionate and engaged in the core purpose and mission of the business and is looking to form a fruitful and lasting partnership with a new CEO.

Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria:

• Highly developed team building and leadership skills, proven capacity to direct.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and representation skills and the ability to act as a public spokesperson.
• Contemporary knowledge of community engagement practice.
• Knowledge of governance and ability to provide high level advice to the Board.
• Proven Chief Executive Officer or managerial level experience in leading organizations which provide services to the community, including knowledge of financial and employee management and governance discipline.
• Experience in dealing with stakeholders at senior levels in government, industry and communities and the capacity to work with Aboriginal communities and elders.

About You
We are looking for a current CEO or a seasoned senior executive within a similar industry and/or organisation looking to step into a CEO role. Candidates should have a strong grasp of governance, planning, professional management and excellent interpersonal and stakeholder skills. Ideally you will have experience in the not-for-profit sector. Our client is looking for a resilient and transformational leader that enjoys working with a community and creating positive impact.
With knowledge of financial and staff management along with governance disciplines the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of Indigenous culture with the capacity to work alongside an active and involved Board. Alignment with the Board on a strong values base will enable the right candidate to create a positive culture and deliver outcomes while driving community satisfaction and engagement.
