As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (Women’s Health – Midwife-Qualified) to be based in Cape Town.
The client
A next-generation preventive-health screening centre using cutting-edge technologies to deliver early detection and a premium, guest-centred experience. The team blends clinical excellence with hospitality to guide each guest safely and comfortably through a structured screening journey.
The opportunity
Own the end-to-end guest journey across an integrated 12-examination pathway. You’ll coordinate, perform and/or assist with screenings, ensure impeccable documentation, and act as the constant clinical touchpoint from arrival to results. While you must be a qualified Midwife for your women’s-health expertise, this is not a maternity or neonatal role.
Key responsibilities
- Lead guests through the full 12-exam screening workflow with clear explanations and reassurance
- Complete clinical intake: consent, history, risk factors, vitals and anthropometrics (e.g., BMI, BP)
- Perform safe venipuncture; prepare, label and manage specimens and courier dispatch
- Conduct point-of-care checks and non-invasive screenings (e.g., vision, hearing, oral health, ECG) per protocol
- Prepare and assist for scheduled specialist/imaging procedures (e.g., gynaecological screening, colon/CT pathways), ensuring dignity and safety throughout
- Capture accurate notes and results in approved systems; uphold POPIA and confidentiality at all times
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards; complete daily room/equipment readiness and basic QC logs
- Recognise red flags, escalate appropriately, and support emergency response if required
- Collaborate with radiographers, physicians and admin to ensure a seamless, on-time guest experience
- Contribute to continuous improvement of SOPs, patient education materials and service flow
Requirement - SANC-registered Professional Nurse with a Midwifery qualification (essential)
- 2+ years’ recent clinical experience; women’s-health exposure highly advantageous
- Proven competence in venipuncture, clinical measurements and patient education
- Comfortable coordinating multi-step pathways and working with digital records/LIMS
- Strong communication, cultural sensitivity and guest-service mindset
- Meticulous documentation and adherence to IPC and privacy standards
- Availability Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00; flexibility for occasional operational needs
Benefits - Market-related salary (guideline: R32,000–R38,000 per month, experience-dependent)
- Structured training across advanced screening modalities and digital workflows
- Supportive, multidisciplinary team and predictable hours
- Opportunity to shape a high-quality preventive-health service as it scales
Location: Cape Town
