As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Nursing Services Manager to be based in Malmesbury, Western Cape.

The Opportunity
  
You will take ownership of the hospital’s nursing function—leading a multidisciplinary team, embedding clinical governance, and driving operational and financial performance to ensure safe, high-quality, cost-effective patient care. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement. 
  
Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop nursing teams: workforce planning, coaching, mentorship, and performance management. 
• Ensure clinical governance, infection prevention, and adherence to professional, ethical, and legislative standards. 
• Drive quality outcomes and patient satisfaction; track indicators, adverse events, and compliance. 
• Oversee budgets, cost controls, and efficient stock/case/billing management to support unit profitability. 
• Build strong relationships with doctors, patients, families, and service providers; foster effective interdepartmental collaboration. 
• Develop, implement, and update policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives. 
• Contribute at Exco level; align nursing strategy with operational goals and local environmental factors. 

  
Requirements

• Registered Nurse with SANC; relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing / BCur or equivalent NQF 7). 
• Post-basic specialty (e.g., Health & Safety, Infection Control) or strong, contemporary experience in that field. 
• Minimum 5 years’ management experience in the private sector; solid computer literacy. 
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and change-leadership capability; sound financial acumen. 
• Deep knowledge of quality management, clinical indicators, and regulatory compliance.
