The Opportunity
 
This role is your chance to join a fast-paced Emergency Department, where you will care for patients in critical and trauma-related situations. You will work at the frontline of healthcare, applying your trauma training to save lives, manage complex cases, and support patients and families during high-stress circumstances. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients within the emergency and trauma unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care.
• Act as a role model in the delivery of professional, compassionate nursing practice.
• Provide leadership during shifts, ensuring standards are maintained in a high-acuity environment.
• Actively participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and trauma accreditation processes.

 
Requirements

• Diploma in General Nursing or BCur Degree.
• Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse (essential).
• Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Nursing (essential).
• 2–5 years’ Emergency Department experience.
• Prior shift-leadership experience in an Emergency Department (advantageous).
