Director, Quality & Compliance Excellence
Aged Care Sector | Executive Leadership Role | Sydney Based
Are you a strategic leader with a deep understanding of quality, risk, and compliance in aged care? We're partnering with a highly respected aged care provider to find an experienced Director, Quality & Compliance Excellence to lead and evolve their quality and clinical governance function across their established & expanding footprint.
This is a key executive role, reporting to the CEO, with responsibility for leading quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple residential aged care facilities. You will play a hands-on role spending time between head office and the various sites, to guide high-performing teams while shaping best-in-class systems, frameworks, and strategies that enhance care delivery and ensure regulatory excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a hands-on role in leading organisation-wide quality and compliance strategy aligned to aged care, and where relevant, disability services standards
- Drive clinical governance, audit programs, risk mitigation, and service improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with executive leadership on quality outcomes, resource planning and funding alignment (AN-ACC)
- Oversee compliance with legislation, accreditation standards and Commission requirements
- Champion a culture of transparency, safety, and consumer satisfaction
- Guide the reporting, resolution, and continuous improvement of incidents, complaints and systemic issues
- Provide high-level reporting and analysis to internal stakeholders and external regulators
- Oversee training, systems and frameworks to embed best practice across all facilities
- Mentor and lead a specialist team with a focus on high performance, partnership and collaboration
About You - Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent), current AHPRA registration, along with relevant postgraduate qualifications in nursing, health or management
- Extensive experience as a Quality & Compliance Leader or in a Senior leadership role within aged care
- Outstanding track record of implementing multi-site aged care strategies and developing diverse teams
- Deep understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC funding model and audit processes
- Demonstrated success leading multi-site teams and delivering system-level improvement
- Strong working knowledge of aged care technology platforms (LeeCare, MOA, e-medication) preferred
- Collaborative leadership style with exceptional communication, strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Quality Management systems and Compliance software
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills including demonstrated success in building highly functional working relationships both internally and externally
