Workshop Services: Operating a well-equipped workshop in Port Hedland, Finmec is capable of accommodating even the largest heavy equipment. Finmec is comprised of a team of skilled professionals, including heavy-duty diesel mechanics, auto electricians, light vehicle mechanics, boilermakers, servicepersons, trades assistants, and apprentices. We specialise in major and minor machinery overhauls, servicing, and breakdown support. We offer a wide range of services, including welding, mechanical, electrical, air conditioning, and boiler making repairs, ensuring the reliable operation of our clients' equipment.
 
Responsive Field Service Teams: Our field service team provides a specialised on-site support service throughout the state of Western Australia to a wide range of mining, civil, and earthmoving equipment customers. Our team can assist you with all maintenance of your equipment. This includes machine repairs, diagnostics, fault detection, preventative maintenance, and servicing. All these services are backed by our modern, up-to-date computer-based systems. On top of that, all our tradespeople are OEM trained and carry the latest diagnostic tooling and equipment ready to complete any required repairs. The biggest benefit for getting us on-site is we can make sure all your equipment is in optimal condition – further maximising your production. With a strong history of site services and site inductions across Western Australia, our team is ready-to-go anywhere without delay.
 
Position:

• Maintenance Superintendent.

Roster:

• 5&2 4&3
• FIFO from Perth to Port Hedland.

Remuneration:

• Salary: $220K - $250K.
• Flights and meal allowances.
• Vehicle in Port Hedland. 

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, plan, and monitor the Earthmoving, Road Transport and Site Support personnel and activities across the region to ensure full customer and market coverage is achievable.  
• Oversee the maintenance of all facilities and equipment.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
• Champion the development and maintenance of operational maintenance procedures, and audit and drive compliance across the business.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment and facilities.
• Ensure work is carried out to a high standard.
• Coaching and developing the team to build individuals' capabilities and competence.
• Demonstrating a commitment and passion for team safety. Ensure a safe work environment is always maintained and provide positive leadership in the business by developing a strong safety culture in accordance with Finmec HSE policy.
• Developing a performance-based culture aligning with the company’s values, enabling exemplary safety behaviours and stable operating outcomes.
• Achieve department budgets aligning with the company’s KPI's.
• Delivering monthly resource planning and schedules.

 
Requirements:

• Trade Qualification (Mobile Plant or equivalent).
• 3+ years of experience in a maintenance leadership role.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Firm understanding of safety in the industry.
• Ability to travel domestically.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
