Extensive continuous process heavy manufacturing plant  experience required  for work on client's sites to manage multi-disciplined functions. You will be responsible for scoping, design, installation and commissioning of projects for leading Australian building products manufacturer located in the Outer Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
 
It is a strongly preferred that candidates are currently registered to provide professional engineering services in Victoria.If candidates are not currently registered, they must be eligible for registration. 
 
The successful applicant will have the following:


Mechanical Engineering degree 
Metal Coating Process line equipment upgrades including structural elements
Design management and problem solving skills
Scoping and design for manufacturing and fabrication
Procurement of equipment and contract management
Experience with using AutoCAD/3D
Site experience (safety systems, permits, contractor supervision)
Strong HSE focus
 
You have previously been involved in:
Design applications for:
1. Lifting equipment and cranes (eg AS4991, AS/NZS 1418)
2. Access and walkways (AS1657)
3. Pressure Piping (AS4041)
4. Basic structural design of components eg platforms, support stands.
 
 
This is a contract role and a competitive hourly rate in line with relevant level of experience will be paid.
You have demonstrated project leadership skills and the ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, to required quality standards,.
