A Data Analyst within the CDM Team is a professional who will work with the BUSINESS CAPABILITY TEAM and focus on analysis and problem solving relates to data, types of data, and relationships among data sets across the CDM data platform.

The Data Analyst role can vary across the various capability teams within CDM, however, typically involves:

• Analysing and mining data to identify patterns and correlations among various data points;
• Mapping and tracing data from multiple systems to solve a business problem; and
• Perform statistical analysis of data residing on the CDM data platform.
• Analysis to identify new business-level data quality issues and form the associated rules to be applied
• Analysis to determine the categorisation of data quality issues into sets for remediation treatment
• Analysis to inform remediation prioritisation and sequencing

 
The technologies involved includes:

• Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP), Hive, and Power BI
• Azure, SQLDW/Synapse optional
