Prevention and Intervention
Through the Ropes is a new not-for-profit organisation taking the life-changing benefits of boxing to vulnerable communities across Australia — especially those who would not usually have access to this kind of opportunity.
At the heart of the organisation is a 10-week life transformation course, designed by 3 x World Champion Michael Katsidis and his team.
This is not just about boxing.
It is about confidence. Discipline. Routine. Belonging. Self-respect. And giving people the first solid step towards long-term positive change.
Through the Ropes exists to support people before life knocks them too far off course — and to help intervene when they need something real, practical and powerful to pull them forward.
We are now seeking passionate, values-led people to join our voluntary board and help shape the future of this important new organisation.
We are especially interested in people with experience across areas such as:
- Not-for-profit leadership
- Community services
- Youth work
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Fundraising and partnerships
- Marketing and communications
- Finance or business strategy
- Lived experience and community connection
This is an opportunity to be part of something from the beginning — to help build a national movement that uses boxing as the vehicle, but transformation as the destination.
If you believe in prevention, intervention, second chances, and the power of disciplined support to change lives, we would love to hear from you.
