Area Supervisor (Cleaning)

Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting for an experienced Area Supervisor to support and oversee cleaning operations across multiple client sites in and around Stoke-on-Trent. This is a hands-on role that combines field-based supervision with office-based rota management and recruitment support.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, maintaining high standards, and ensuring customers receive an excellent service. If you have cleaning experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to lead a team, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out regular site inspections to ensure high cleaning standards are maintained.
Manage and support cleaning teams, including training, performance management, and day-to-day supervision.
Liaise with clients, handle service queries, and resolve complaints professionally.
Manage rotas and organise cover for holidays, absences, and short-notice staffing requirements.
Support recruitment activities including interviewing, onboarding, inductions, and employment paperwork.
Ensure sites are fully stocked with cleaning materials and equipment and assist with cleaning duties when required.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' cleaning experience.
Previous supervisory, team leader, or management experience.
Strong communication and people management skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

This role is based in Stoke-on-Trent and may suit candidates travelling from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, Crewe, Uttoxeter, Congleton, or Leek.
