Steel Fabricator / MIG Welder Location:Stoke-on-Trent (ST4)
Pay Rate: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 1:30pm
Contract Type: Permanent Position
Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run engineering company based in Stoke-on-Trent. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Steel Fabricator / MIG Welder to join their workshop team on a permanent basis.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be involved in fabricating and MIG welding a range of steel products and structures. If you enjoy working from drawings, take pride in producing quality work, and prefer a role where no two projects are exactly the same, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and MIG weld mild steel components and assemblies.
- Read and work from engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Cut, drill, grind and prepare materials for production.
- Measure, check and inspect components throughout the fabrication process.
- Operate fabrication and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Steel Fabricator and MIG Welder.
- Strong MIG welding skills working with mild steel.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of measurements, dimensions and fabrication processes.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively within a small team.

You'll be working on a range of bespoke steel fabrication projects including racks, benches, shelters, trolleys and custom-built steelwork, providing plenty of variety and the opportunity to develop your skills.
This role may also suit candidates from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Uttoxeter, Crewe, Stafford, Leek or Stone, with experience as a Fabricator Welder, MIG Welder, Steel Fabricator, Metal Fabricator or Sheet Metal Worker.
