Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer - Turning & Milling to join a well-established precision engineering business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled machinist with programming, setting and operating experience who enjoys producing high-quality components and solving day-to-day machining challenges.
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently when required and take pride in delivering quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set and operate CNC turning and milling machines to produce precision-engineered components
Read and work from engineering drawings and customer specifications
Select suitable tooling, cutting data and machining strategies for efficient production
Edit and optimise existing CNC programs, making adjustments where required
Inspect components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met
Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain a safe, organised working environment
Experience using Fanuc (G-Code), Mazatrol or similar CNC control systems
Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
Strong knowledge of tooling, cutting conditions and precision machining techniques
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills
Experience machining aluminium, stainless steel and plastics
CAD/CAM experience, particularly Fusion 360
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards
Experience manufacturing precision components across a range of industries
