CNC Skilled Setter / Operator
Location: Brownhills
Pay Rate: Up to £15.40 per hour (DOE)
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 06:00-15:30, Friday 06:00-10:00 
(paid 15 min break and unpaid 30 min break)
 
Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting for an experienced CNC Skilled Setter / Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based at their Toll Point facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong CNC machining experience who enjoys working in a friendly, hardworking team and wants a long-term opportunity with a business supplying high-profile global customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC mills and lathes, ensuring quality standards are maintained while supporting efficient production processes.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling and turning machines from engineering setup sheets
• Load, prove and run CNC programs using FANUC controls
• Set tooling and make accurate offset adjustments as required
• Inspect components during production to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met
• Read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• Carry out routine daily machine maintenance and safety checks

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
• Experience with CNC mills and lathes
• Confident working with FANUC controls
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances within low to medium batch production environments
• Jib or overhead crane experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Experience operating a cylindrical grinder would be beneficial
