Company Accountant
Location: Cinderford. Gloucestershire
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (30-minute lunch)
Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Wednesbury. Our client is a respected UK manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, reliability and customer service. Due to continued growth and expansion within the manufacturing sector, they are looking for a hands-on Company Accountant to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to play an active role in the wider business, working closely with directors, managers and operational teams while supporting financial performance and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Manage cashbook reconciliations, supplier payment runs and credit control activities
- Prepare and post journal entries, VAT returns and fixed asset register updates
- Maintain and review product costing information to support profitability analysis
- Plan and participate in stock counts, including stock valuation reporting
- Provide financial information and analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
Requirements
- AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience
- Minimum of 2 years' accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Able to work independently while building strong relationships across departments
