Recycling Operative Location: EMG Derby (Maersk Site)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:00, Friday 07:00 - 14:30
Recycling Operative - EMG Derby Hunters 4 Staff are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operative to join the team at the Maersk site based at EMG Derby. This is initially a cover position, but for the right candidate it could develop into a long-term, full-time role.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position involving the sorting and separation of waste materials to support the site's recycling and environmental processes. If you enjoy keeping active and working as part of a team, this could be an excellent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities - Sort and separate waste materials into the correct recycling streams.
- Collect, move and process recyclable and general waste safely.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures.
- Identify and report contaminated waste or any site issues.
- Support the wider site team with waste management activities as required.
Requirements - Ability to undertake physically demanding work throughout the shift.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in recycling, waste management, warehouse or industrial environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
