Quality Inspector Location: Brownhills
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector on behalf of a growing manufacturing business based in Brownhills. Part of a well-established group, the company specialises in machining, fabrication, laser cutting, and tube manipulation. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a hands-on quality professional who can take ownership of product quality, support continuous improvement, and help maintain high manufacturing standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances using root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, NCRs, and CAPAs.
- Maintain and support the company's ISO 9001 quality management system and assist with internal and external audits.
- Monitor quality performance data, produce reports, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and prevent repeat issues.
- Manage calibration and maintenance of inspection and measuring equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a quality inspection or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, laser cutting, and tube manipulation processes.
- Good understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Confident using problem-solving and root cause analysis tools.
Desirable
- CQI, IRCA, ASQ, or similar quality-related qualifications.
- Experience using Faro Arms or CMM equipment.
- Previous supplier quality or auditing experience.
