Hygiene Manager - Coventry (CV5)
Up to £50,000 | Permanent | 44 hours per week
At Hunters 4 Staff, we're working with Guenther Bakeries in Coventry to recruit an experienced Hygiene Manager. This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established food manufacturing business where you'll play a key role in maintaining high hygiene, safety and compliance standards across the site.

The Role
As Hygiene Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the hygiene team, ensuring all cleaning activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. You'll work closely with production and site management teams to maintain a clean, compliant and audit-ready environment.
Key Responsibilities - Lead, support and develop the hygiene team through effective supervision, training and coaching
- Ensure all cleaning schedules and hygiene tasks are completed to the required standards through regular inspections and audits
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety procedures, including PPE, chemical handling and lock-off systems
- Investigate incidents, complete relevant documentation and support return-to-work processes where required
- Manage staffing levels and workloads to meet operational requirements while controlling costs
- Handle customer queries, complaints and hygiene-related issues in a professional and practical manner
What We're Looking For - Previous experience in a Hygiene Manager or Hygiene Supervisor role within food manufacturing or a similar environment
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, COSHH and machinery safety requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining high standards
