About the Role
Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run engineering business based in Cheadle. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder / Plater to join their skilled team.
This is a hands-on role working with medium to heavy gauge steel, producing high-quality fabrications from engineering drawings. If you're looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and weld medium to heavy gauge steel components to specification
Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings accurately
Carry out MIG welding to a high standard
Inspect completed work to ensure quality requirements are met
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment
Requirements
Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder, Plater, or similar role
Confident reading and working from engineering drawings
Strong MIG welding experience, ideally with medium to heavy gauge materials
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Reliable, hard-working, and able to work independently or as part of a team
