HGV Mechanic (DAF Trained)
�� Sheffield (S3) �� Up to £70,000 per year (depending on experience) �� Permanent | Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm + Saturday rota (7:00am-12:00pm)
Hunters 4 Staff are working with a well-established transport and fleet business in Sheffield who are looking to bring in an experienced HGV Mechanic with DAF experience. This is a hands-on role working as part of a solid team, keeping a varied fleet running safely and efficiently.
What you'll be doing
Carrying out maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet (DAF skip trucks, tippers, artic units, grab vehicles, vans and more)
Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT (S3 Sheffield site)
Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment and completing effective repairs
Completing routine inspections in line with O Licence requirements
Attending breakdowns when required
Completing paperwork, job cards and supporting the wider team when needed
What we're looking for
At least 2 years' experience as an HGV Mechanic
Experience working with DAF vehicles
Confident using diagnostic software and fault-finding tools
HGV inspection experience (minimum 1 year)
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred
Class 1 or 2 HGV licence and Driver CPC (preferred)
