CNC Machinist - Miller & Turner (Day Shift)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Pay: £16.50-£18.00 per hour negotiable
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Day shift
At Hunters 4 Staff, we're recruiting for two CNC Machinists to join a busy, well‑run engineering company on day shift:
- 1 x CNC Miller - able to set and operate
- 1 x CNC Turner - with some programming experience

What you'll be doing
- Setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines (depending on role)
- Programming at the machine (Turner role) and assisting with job setups
- Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Producing high‑quality parts for new and repeat jobs
- Carrying out basic checks and adjustments to maintain quality
- Supporting day‑to‑day problem solving on the shop floor
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Turner
- Ability to set and operate CNC machines confidently
- Turning candidates must have some programming experience
- Experience with controls such as Fanuc, Mazatrol, Siemens or Heidenhain
- Reliable, practical people who can work with minimal supervision
