Train Driver Seat Operative
Location: Ecclesfield, Sheffield
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Thursday, 06:00-16:30
Pay Rate: £14-15 per hour

Hunters4staff are looking for a proactive, hands-on individual to join our Client in the Driver's Seat department in Sheffield. No prior experience is needed - full training will be provided - but a basic mechanical interest is essential. You'll play a key role in assessing, repairing, and modifying train driver seats, helping us maintain high standards and support the growth of this busy department.
Key Responsibilities

• Assess, repair, and modify train driver seats to agreed specifications.
• Complete audits and maintain accurate paperwork for all seat types.
• Manage stock control for seat parts and liaise with the Production Manager for replenishment.
• Conduct final inspections and prepare seats for dispatch.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Good English and Maths skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills.
