Hunters4staff are looking for a proactive, hands-on individual to join our Client in the Driver's Seat department in Sheffield. No prior experience is needed - full training will be provided - but a basic mechanical interest is essential. You'll play a key role in assessing, repairing, and modifying train driver seats, helping us maintain high standards and support the growth of this busy department.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, repair, and modify train driver seats to agreed specifications.
Complete audits and maintain accurate paperwork for all seat types.
Manage stock control for seat parts and liaise with the Production Manager for replenishment.
Conduct final inspections and prepare seats for dispatch.
Maintain a safe, clean working environment and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
Good English and Maths skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills.
