Job Title: Senior HR Assistant
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day with a morning start between 8:00 am and 10:00 am)
Salary: £14.50

They are seeking a Senior HR Assistant to join our dedicated team. This part-time role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who values flexibility and has a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards of verbal and written communication.
• Provide sound advice on HR policies and employment legislation.
• Collaborate with department managers, team leaders, and employees to support HR needs.
• Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with data protection regulations.
• Manage recruitment processes, including candidate vetting, interviews, and onboarding.
• Set up new employees on Sage, liaise with payroll, issue contracts, and conduct right-to-work checks.
• Oversee disciplinary actions, investigations, and employee relations issues.
• Manage absences, including RTW documents, sick pay coordination, and employee communication.
• Compile weekly agency timesheets, review invoices, and forward them for payment.
• Provide a daily absence report to management.
• Ensure training records are up to date in collaboration with the Health and Safety Manager.
• Archive files and maintain an organized filing system.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software (experience with Sage is advantageous).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Empathy and the ability to build rapport with employees.
• Proven experience in managing recruitment, disciplinary processes, and training documentation.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
