SolidWorks and CAD Technician
Location: Rugby, CV23
Contract: 6-month contract
Pay: Dependent on experience (DOE)
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
 
Hunters 4 Staff are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a SolidWorks and CAD Technician in Rugby.
 
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and tech-savvy SolidWorks and CAD Technician to join a company specialising in the preparation of wooden boxes and crates for shipping and packaging. This role will involve creating and reading 3D and engineering drawings, managing quotations, developing SOPs, and supporting back-office functions.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Reading and creating 3D and engineering drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Preparing and updating quotations through process analysis and ongoing monitoring
• Developing and producing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the creation of wooden boxes/crates
• Supporting back-office tasks, including handling purchase orders
• Managing technical operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy in production processes
• Ensuring a streamlined and efficient quotation setup

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the wood or packaging industry
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Experience in process analysis, with the ability to update and monitor quotation processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manage technical projects
• Familiarity with purchasing processes and supporting administrative tasks
• Tech-savvy with excellent problem-solving skills
