Job Title: Credit Controller
Location: Tamworth
Salary: From £27,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:15 pm, with 1-hour unpaid lunch)

About the Role
We are delighted to assist our client in recruiting a dedicated Credit Controller to join their finance team at Ocean House in Tamworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the credit control function while supporting accounts payable and invoice processing during holiday periods.
In this role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage accounts receivable, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Credit Control

• Proactively monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue payments.
• Build and maintain effective client relationships to facilitate timely collections.
• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, highlighting aged debts.

Accounts Payable (Holiday Cover)

• Process vendor invoices promptly and accurately.
• Support payment runs and resolve supplier queries as needed.

Invoice Processing

• Input and record invoices accurately within financial systems.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and contribute to month-end reporting tasks.

Ideal Candidate
 
The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience in credit control or similar finance roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external clients.
• Flexibility to support other finance functions, including accounts payable, when required.
