Business Development Manager

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) + Commission

Benefits: Car allowance, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, mobile, laptop

Location: Rugby, Hybrid (office & field-based)

About the Role

We’re a leading logistics company specialising in comprehensive logistics solutions, including packing, case making, kitting, contract packing, and reverse logistics. We’re looking for a strategic and driven Business Development Manager to identify growth opportunities and develop new client partnerships. This role is crucial in expanding our footprint in the logistics sector and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, and services.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Prepare tenders, quotations, and sales forecasts, striving to meet weekly and monthly sales KPIs.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to expand our network and stay current with logistics trends.
• Develop a marketing plan aligned with the company strategy and sales goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain the highest standards of customer service and quality.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a professional with experience in logistics or a related field and a proven track record in concept solution sales. You should be passionate about building and expanding client relationships in a fast-growing industry.

You’ll need to have:

• Experience in driving transformational growth and aligning business strategy with sales targets.
• A passion for identifying new business opportunities within logistics and providing innovative solutions.
• Strong sales record in concept solution sales, with an ability to develop proposals based on client needs.
• Exceptional communication skills, building credibility and trust with clients and stakeholders.
