Job Title: Assistant Bar Manager Location: Burton upon Trent Salary: £30,128 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week (including some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays)
Hunters 4 Staff is thrilled to assist in recruiting an Assistant Bars Manager for our esteemed client. This exciting role is perfect for someone with a minimum of 2 years of bar management or hospitality leadership experience, particularly in high-end or event-driven venues. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and profitable bar operations, while consistently delivering top-tier service and upholding health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and efficient service
Manage designated areas including Long Gallery, Library, Outdoor Spa Terrace, event bars, and patios
Lead, train, and motivate the bar team through structured development plans
Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain service and hygiene quality
Support stock control and assist with monthly inventory management
Analyze sales data and assist in managing budgets to meet profit targets
Develop and implement initiatives to drive sales and revenue growth
Ensure full compliance with health and safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations
Requirements:
Proven experience in bar or hospitality management
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team
Expertise in stock control, sales analysis, and operational efficiencies
Excellent communication and guest service skills
Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures
