Position: Road Supervisor - Maintenance - Quirindi

Our government client is seeking a Road Supervisor to lead their civil construction team on maintenance projects in the Liverpool Plains region. The position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project timelines. The general working hours are 6.30am - 3.30pm, Monday - Friday (9-day fortnight).
 
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities for the role include:

• To oversee and manage the Road team, ensuring the efficient maintenance of the
• civil infrastructure in accordance with established standards.
• Coordinate the delivery of routine works in collaboration with the Civil Infrastructure Manager
• including allocating resources required, plant & equipment and materials.
• Complete site and project risk assessments prior to commencing work onsite.
• Implementing appropriate Safe Work Procedures and actions to manage risks.
• Identifying utilities and services through "Dial Before You Dig" services and locating and
• marking services onsite.
• Establishing traffic control measures in accordance with approved traffic guidance
• scheme and procedures.
• Ensure contractors comply with all safe and environmental work practices including SWMMS, PPE etc.

Essential Criteria
To be successful you will require:

• Relevant experience and/or qualifications in Civil Construction.
• HR Truck Licence.
• White Card.
• Plant Operating experience desirable.
• Broad extensive experience in and knowledge of the civil construction environment.
• Experience in leading teams.
• Experience in managing contractor's/service provider's
• Sound knowledge of road construction materials, plant and equipment
