Our client is an industry leader in the safe handling, transport, treatment, and disposal of hazardous waste and is home to Queensland's only high-temperature incineration facility.
 
Due to continued growth, we are seeking reliable and mechanically minded Workshop Trade Assistants to join their maintenance team based in Willawong for an immediate start.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assisting with the maintenance and repair of heavy fixed plant equipment
• Assisting with maintenance and repairs of medical waste bins 
• Carrying out basic mechanical repairs and servicing tasks
• Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Assisting with light fabrication and welding duties (MIG & Stick welding experience highly regarded)
• Supporting the workshop team to ensure equipment remains operational and maintained

What We're Looking For:

• 2-3 years' experience as a Trade Assistant within a mechanical, workshop, manufacturing, or similar environment
• Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
• Mechanically minded with a strong work ethic
• Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• Proof of 2 COVID vaccinations (essential)
• Reliable transport and commitment to safety
