701 Recruitment is partnering with a leading Australian family owned waste management company, renowned for operating Queensland's only high-temperature incineration facility. With over three decades of experience, our client specialises in the safe handling, transport, and disposal of hazardous and biosecurity-sensitive waste, servicing a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, laboratories, and aged care

We are seeking motivated mechanically minded Workshop Trade Assistants to join the workshop repair team based at the Willawong QLD depot for an immediate start. 

If you've got hands-on skills, mechanical know-how, and enjoy working in a supportive environment, we have the PERFECT role for you! 
  
 About the Role:

• Assist with the maintenance of heavy fixed plant
• Basic repairs on equipment 
• Operate basic power tools and support with light welding tasks (Stick & Mig welding experience highly regarded) 
• Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm - with overtime where required 

 About You:

• Minimum 2-3 years previous experience as a Trades Assistant (mechanical, construction, manufacturing etc) 
• Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)
• Forklift licence (essential) 
• Reliable transport 
• Proof of 2x COVID vaccinations (essential)
