The Role We’re currently designing and delivering several new low and medium density residential projects, that are built to ‘Passivhaus’ standards.
We’re happy to teach and train on these standards and building methods. We need someone enthusiastic and keen to learn, and that can come along on the journey with us.
Key Responsibilities You’ll manage the full project lifecycle — concept to completion. You’ll be the key link between our construction team, internal stakeholders / client.
The role will have lots of variety, but also have key responsibilities such as:
- Oversee and assist on all stages of project delivery from planning to handover
- Act as the lead Project Manager and / or Site Manager onsite
- Regularly visit the construction sites to inspect ongoing work and ensure that it complies with the approved plans, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage construction quality, materials, and workmanship to ensure that the project meets the specified standards and codes.
- Monitor project costs and expenses, helping to ensure that the project stays within budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities when possible.
- Seek materials suppliers nationwide or overseas and negotiate price and quality.
- Coordinate with suppliers to place orders and track the delivery of construction materials, ensuring they arrive on-site when needed.
- Maintain open and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Keep accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, permits, contracts, and change orders. Report any issues encountered.
Skills | Experience | Qualifications - 3 + years post graduate experience as a Project or Site Manager
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture
- Strong knowledge of low/medium density residential construction
- Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills
- Excellent communication and planning skills
- Sharp eye for detail — from budgeting to build quality
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and accountable
