The Opportunity
Reporting to the Customer Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for supporting all activation elements across the channel marketing plan for key customers. It plays a key role in executing marketing programs, in-store activations, digital initiatives, and campaigns—ensuring they are delivered on time and aligned to James Hardie’s brand standards.
This role will work closely and collaborate with sales teams, external agencies, Brand, Product, and Digital teams to deliver best in class retail activation that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion with Homeowners and Trade Professionals in our Customer ecosystems -in class retail activation.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate and support the delivery of channel activation plans across key customers, ensuring product launches, campaigns, and priority programs are executed on time, in full, and to a high standard
- Assist in managing agencies and suppliers to deliver marketing collateral and retail assets, ensuring all outputs meet brand standards and customer requirements
- Track and manage activation budgets, including purchase orders and invoices, and optimising use of co‑marketing funds
- Assist with the instore merchandising execution, display rollouts, and fixture installation
- Support digital optimisation including brand pages, store within a store, imagery, product content, SEO, and enhanced content and partner with agencies and Digital team to deliver content for retail.com and omnichannel campaigns
- Coordinate and deliver campaigns, events, trade activations, and retail partnership initiatives ensuring alignment with commercial priorities
- Track campaign progress, report against KPIs, and recommend enhancements
- Assist with the development and execution of the Hardie™ Perfect Store initiatives including promotions in line with the strategic direction and assist with the development and execution of new product launch assets and customer activation toolkits
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of channel marketing plans and meet retailer-specific requirements
What you’ll bring - Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field is preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in marketing, brand, or agency environments, ideally across activation, retail, or trade marketing in execution-focused roles
- Proactive problem solving and a continuous improvement mindset
- Project management and execution capability is desirable
- Customer focused, and detail oriented. Excellent stakeholder and agency management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
- Exposure to hardware, building materials, FMCG, or retail environments preferred
- Experience managing budgets and delivering marketing programs end to end
