The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for an Intellectual Property Coordinator to join our high-performing and innovative R&D Team. Reporting to the Senior Director - Global IP and working very closely with the Senior Intellectual Property Coordinator, you will be a motivated, agile, performance-driven individual responsible for supporting the R&D business in delivering results in driving projects forward.
What you’ll do
- Assist with the capture of JH Innovations and the timely submissions of Invention Disclosure Forms
- Encourage teams, scientists, and engineers to effectively drive innovative ideas to produce solutions for existing product lines, new products and technologies
- Attend IP review meetings and present relevant progress against goals and strategic plans, and maximise the utilisation of expertise and sharing of cross-functional resources
- Assist in implementing a global IP strategic plan as established by the Global IP leader
- Drive the timely capture of trade secret information and processes from R&D personnel and others in the company to secure the company’s competitive advantage in the market
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with R&D team members to direct effective research towards the appropriate IP space and goals
What you’ll bring - A University Degree (BSc/MS/PhD) in Chemistry/ Materials Science/Engineering/Physics
- Experience and understanding of Intellectual Property (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals
- Ability to understand the technical components and business decisions/implications of the research projects and be able to answer questions and provide guidance regarding the relevant IP strategy
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data, draw conclusions, and present them to R&D management in a clear and concise manner in writing and/or verbally
