The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a smart, driven and real HR professional to join our high performing People & Performance team.
  
Reporting to and working closely with the Senior People Partner, you will support the Carole Park plant management team by providing effective people advice and build leaders capability on people related matters including performance, recruitment and onboarding, training and development, and other elements of leading and engaging a workforce.

What you’ll do

• Work closely with leaders to support the onboarding of new employees, in addition to the processing and administration of relevant documentations for the plant and team members, including rosters, hires, terminations, employee life cycle changes and org chart maintenance
• Support the plant management team with communicating performance and behavioural expectations to all employees on site
• Support the HR Centres of Excellence (COE) leaders to deliver cyclical HR processes including performance, reward, talent, succession planning and engagement
• Assist the Senior People Partner in coaching and supporting managers to handle disciplinary matters including performance management, absenteeism and non-performance
• Hold leaders and team members accountable for compliance and other related activities
• Support the plant management team and Senior People Partner with people initiatives, engagement activities including wellbeing initiatives, recognition and on-site events

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 3 years previous HR Generalist experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding and working knowledge of Modern Awards, National Employment Standards and other related legislation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders, including senior leaders and peers
• Keen listener and problem solver, who operates with respect in maintaining confidentiality, and handling sensitive information with discretion
• Strong organisation and time management skills along with strong attention to detail
• Proactive go-getter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to kick off your days with a 6am start when on site, a minimum of 3-4 days a week
