Technical Sales Engineer - Biotech
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000
Location: Lancashire

We are working exclusively with our client, a global leader in biotechnology solutions, to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer - Biotech. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated sales professional with a scientific background to take ownership of business growth across Northern Europe, focusing on the Biotech sector.

Reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving direct sales, supporting distributors, and building long-term relationships with key accounts. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure the customer’s voice is heard within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell the company’s product portfolio to drive adoption across the Northern European biotech market.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, maintaining accurate CRM records and forecasts.
• Prospect and identify new business opportunities while supporting existing distributor networks.
• Deliver engaging sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals.
• Maintain excellent post-sales relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Partner with marketing teams to grow brand awareness through events, campaigns, and product launches.
• Collaborate with colleagues across sales, marketing, and product to shape pricing, positioning, and strategy.

Essential:

• BSc in Biotechnology, Cell Biology or related field (MSc/PhD advantageous).
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused, collaborative, and team-oriented approach.
• Based in the UK, ideally with good access to an international airport.

Desirable:

• 1–2 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of the biotechnology industry and bioprocessing solutions.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Experience within an employee-owned business would be a plus.
