Bapcor NZ Licensee Channel Manager
Location: Auckland, with national travel
Are you a commercially astute, customer-focused leader ready to drive national growth across some of New Zealand’s best-known automotive licensee networks?
We’re looking for a high-performing Channel Manager to lead the development, engagement, and expansion of our three licensee networks: Battery Town, Battery Town Marine, and Shock Shop. This role is all about meaningful relationships, performance-focused growth, and a relentless drive to exceed expectations.
About the Role
As the Licensee Channel Manager, you’ll champion the success of over 130 independent workshops across the country while identifying and onboarding new members.
Your focus will be twofold:
- Grow volume and profitability through existing member engagement and acquisition.
- Execute tailored strategies for each network in alignment with business units: Autolign (Shock Shop) and HCB (Battery Town & Marine).
You’ll also act as a critical link between licensee members, Bapcor’s branch network, sales teams, category managers and marketing – ensuring cohesive activity, engagement and execution across all fronts.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement sales and marketing programs to drive network growth
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with licensee members and branches
- Drive referrals and prospecting for new independent workshops
- Oversee marketing calendars, events and advertising campaigns
- Monitor network performance using our business analytics tools
- Coordinate training programs and annual planning events
- Manage monthly reporting with insights across all regions
- Facilitate regional meetings, conferences and steering committees
- Partner with category and pricing teams to ensure competitive offers
About You You’ll be a confident communicator with experience leading channels, networks or large customer bases. You understand the power of connection – whether that’s engaging a mechanic in a regional town, collaborating with internal teams, or steering strategic committees. A commercial mindset, backed by sales and digital marketing experience, will be key to your success.
You’ll also:
- Be able to travel regularly across NZ to connect with licensees
- Have proven experience in customer, channel, or franchise leadership
- Know how to turn insights into actions and plans into outcomes
- Be hands-on, energetic, and capable of leading by example
