Exciting opportunity for a customer experience-driven retail sales associate to help our customers make their space feel like home.

DecoRug is an innovative, and multi-award winning retailer. Launched in 1993 we now operate a significant retail network throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.

We are much ‘More Than Just a Rug Store’ as our original positioning statement would suggest. Sure we sell Decorator Rugs – and plenty of them, in fact we’ve added that touch of style to thousands of living spaces over the years! But it doesn’t end there, we’re also a highly successful retailer of Pre-Finished Timber and Laminate Flooring, Wall-to-Wall Carpet, Custom-Made Window Shutters and Blinds as well!

ABOUT YOU
Our most successful store assistants take pride in being the person who helps homeowners make their space feel like home. We are looking for like-minded service and customer experience focused individuals who are hungry for learning, and thrive in a goal oriented environment.

You might have previous experience in retail, customer service or sales. Or you may be studying interior design or have a genuine interest in home decoration or styling and looking to expand your knowledge in an environment where you will put decorating skills in use daily.

If this sounds like you and you have a positive, can-do attitude with good communication and influencing skills, we would like to hear from you.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
At its core, this retail assistant role will see you helping our customer determine their home improvement requirements and supporting them in making a decision that best suits their needs. In most cases, you will be the product expert that will guide them in everything they need to get their new floors, shutters or blinds installed.

As such and in addition to in-store customer service, sales, and store merchandising, you may attend outcalls and undertake in-home consultations for measure, quote and sales (therefore a valid Driver’s License is essential). And since this is a retail role, your availability and willingness to work on weekends is required.
