About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Detailer to join our Technical and Engineering team. This senior role is responsible for producing technically compliant structural documentation, including fabrication drawings and data files for manufacturing. You will provide expert technical advice, liaise with engineers and internal teams, and assist with coaching and training. The role involves collaborating closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Design, and Construction teams, and coordinating design requirements for various projects. Regular inspections and occasional site visits will also be required.
We are recruiting this role in Adelaide , however we are open to candidates in Brisbane and Perth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality structural documentation, ensuring compliance with Ausco’s standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of structural designs.
- Conduct regular manufacturing inspections and occasional site visits to ensure the accuracy of fabrication and assembly.
- Lead and coach team members to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and business strategy delivery.
- Collaborate with consultant engineers and manage project priorities effectively.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience - Tertiary qualification in Structural Drafting and Detailing.
- Certification in Autodesk Revit.
- Advanced knowledge of Revit and structural software (FrameCAD, Vertex BD, Advance Steel, Tekla).
- Proven experience in structural detailing and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Experience: - Modular industry experience.
- Familiarity with light gauge steel framing and structural steel detailing.
- Awareness of estimating tools like CostX.
- Experience with ISO9001-compliant information management systems.
