Your New Role
Ausco Modular is looking for a Construction Supervisor to oversee the successful delivery of hire and sale installations, as well as the demobilization of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and safely under the direction of a Construction Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise building and infrastructure installation or removal.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure coordination for project delivery.
- Hold daily toolbox and weekly site meetings.
- Oversee sub-contractors’ work to ensure compliance with Scope of Works.
- Monitor quality control and maintain documentation.
- Liaise with Construction/Operations/Project Manager to stay on budget.
- Assist in resolving disputes and claims.
- Document variation requests properly.
- Manage timely contractor invoice submissions.
- Support Project Manager with client and warranty issues.
- Evaluate hazards and control risks via inspections.
- Ensure WHS requirements are met on-site.
- Facilitate safety meetings and ensure SWMS and JSA are in place.
- Collaborate with customers, consultants, sub-contractors, and authorities.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external parties.
- Engage in cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate and select subcontractors, generate contracts.
- Supervise subcontractor performance for safety and quality.
- Review subcontractor agreements for compliance.
Skills & Experience: - Trade Certificate or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel
- Experience as a Construction Supervisor
- White Card and current driver's license
- First Aid Certificate (company-sponsored)
- Ability to meet state-based licensing requirements (e.g., Working with Children Check – VIC)
Key Competencies: - Strong leadership in site supervision across multiple projects
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Skilled in reading engineering documents, drawings, and specifications
- Experience managing Quality, WHS&E, and documentation
- Knowledge of state regulatory and statutory requirements
Preferred Competencies: - Experience in the modular building industry.
- Formal Workplace Health & Safety qualifications.
- Relevant state builder’s license.
