Your new role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for the Highgate Primary School project, overseeing productivity, compliance, safety, and project alignment. The $12 million project includes a two-storey modular classroom block with six classrooms, activity areas, and upgrades to power, fire services, and turf, to be completed by 2026. This project is part of a $4.4 billion school infrastructure investment. The Site Manager will be key in ensuring timely and safe project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager with planning and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Traffic, Quality, and Environmental Management Plans.
- Oversee worker inductions, subcontractor claims, and project records. Coordinate material deliveries, allocate tasks, and manage daily site operations.
- Supervise, train employees, manage performance, and address employee relations.
- Ensure HSE compliance, lead risk management, and maintain workplace safety.
- Manage resources efficiently to meet budget expectations and adhere to company policies and regulations.
What you will bring to the role: - Minimum 5 years of commercial or relevant industry experience
- WHSO Certification, Current First Aid Certificate and Construction White Card
- Strong knowledge of National Code of Construction and Australian Standards
- In-depth understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret client standards and specifications
- Strong contract administration experience
- Solid understanding of employee relations and Right of Entry processes
