The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Business Advisory team in Auckland.

In this role, you'll work closely with a diverse range of privately owned businesses, supporting their financial performance, growth plans and strategic decision-making. More than just compliance, you'll become a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate challenges and identify opportunities at every stage of their business journey.

You'll gain exposure to a broad range of advisory work, including financial reporting, management accounting, tax, budgeting, forecasting, business planning and strategic advice. Along the way, you'll work alongside experienced Managers and Partners while mentoring junior team members and contributing to a high-performing team culture.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Delivering management reporting, budgeting, cashflow forecasting and business performance insights
• Preparing tax returns and identifying tax planning, structuring and business improvement opportunities
• Providing practical, commercially focused advice to support client growth and success
• Managing client engagements and developing strong, long-term client relationships
• Assisting with trust administration, Companies Office requirements and cloud accounting solutions
• Supporting, coaching and mentoring junior team members

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a genuine passion for working with clients and helping businesses thrive.
Ideally, you'll have:

• 3-5+ years' experience within a Business Advisory or CA environment
• CA ANZ or ACCA qualification (or be nearing completion)
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Strong experience preparing financial statements, tax returns and management reporting
• Exposure to cloud accounting platforms such as Xero and MYOB
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive mindset and a desire to develop as a trusted business advisor
