BDO Tauranga is seeking a motivated and adaptable administrator to join our Business Recovery & Insolvency team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to a wide variety of businesses and industries and develop specialist skills in insolvency and business recovery services.

About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional administrative support across a range of insolvency and business recovery engagements. No two days are the same, and you'll thrive if you enjoy juggling multiple priorities, working with detailed information, and continuously improving processes.
Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and managing insolvency administration documentation
• Coordinating Companies Office filings and compliance requirements
• Maintaining electronic and physical records
• Assisting with trust account administration and reporting
• Creating and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and tracking tools
• Supporting managers with business recovery assignments
• Identifying opportunities to improve and document processes
• Liaising professionally with clients, banks, lawyers, and other stakeholders
• Providing accurate and timely typing, correspondence, and administrative support

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Adapts quickly to changing priorities and new challenges
• Has excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Enjoys documenting processes and finding more efficient ways of working
• Embraces technology and is confident learning new systems
• Has advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Is familiar with AI tools and confident using them to improve efficiency and support high-quality work
• Excellent typist
• Is organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Demonstrates initiative and takes ownership of their work
• Has a positive, team-focused attitude

Essential Requirements

• Current New Zealand Driver Licence
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Previous administration experience within professional services, accounting, legal, banking, or financial services. 
• A financial qualification is preferred.
• Holds current NZ work rights.
• The successful candidate will be required to provide satisfactory references and complete and pass criminal history and credit checks.
